The vineyards sit at around 550 metres above sea level on sandy volcanic soils. Nino works mainly with Etna varieties such as Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante and Catarratto, with Grillo and Trebbiano also appearing in some cuvées.
The combination of altitude, volcanic ground and traditional varieties gives Nino a broad palette to work with, from light and immediate wines to more structured expressions of the same landscape.
