PERSONAL TASTING NOTES

Very light and lifted, with red berries, wild strawberry and a delicate floral character. Fresh and juicy on the palate, with bright acidity and a clean, chalky, savoury finish.

VINIFICATION METHOD

Made from 70% Savagnin and 30% Poulsard from around 60-year-old vines on light clay-limestone soils. The grapes are hand-harvested in small baskets, followed by 7 days of maceration and around 10 months of ageing in stainless steel. No added sulphur.

MEET THE WINEMAKER

MARIE BOURDON

Marie Bourdon came to wine from outside the traditional family-winery route. Born in Essonne in 1994, she first studied art history and archaeology before moving into restaurants and later training as a sommelier.

After spending time working with growers in different wine regions, she settled in the Jura. In 2016 she joined Raphaël Monnier at Domaine Ratapoil, an experience that became an important part of her development as a grower and winemaker. She also worked with him on the Avis de Tempête project before releasing her first independent vintage in 2019.
