PERSONAL TASTING NOTES

A deep and expressive rosato with dark berries, blood orange and a subtle creamy touch. Juicy and fresh, with fine tannins, volcanic minerality and a slightly savoury finish.

VINIFICATION METHOD

Made mainly from Nerello Mascalese grown on the northern slopes of Etna, from old vines rooted in volcanic soils at roughly 650–1,000 metres altitude. The grapes are destemmed and pressed after around 6–7 hours of skin contact, then the free-run and pressed juice ferment together in stainless steel. No added sulphur.

MEET THE WINEMAKER

SRC

SRC is a family-run winery founded in 2013 on the northern side of Mount Etna. The name comes from Sandra, Rori and Cinzia Parasiliti, whose initials form SRC. The project started when Rori bought an old-vine parcel in Contrada Crasà near Solicchiata, initially as a place for the family to make wine for themselves.

With encouragement from Cinzia and Sandra, the project gradually expanded. Today, the family works several vineyards across Etna’s northern districts, while keeping the estate strongly rooted in its original family character.
